Engine4™ was created in 2000 by AJ Newman (aka Ash Newman and internet alias Chip Stronghold) as he first entered into the world of freelance web design whilst living in New Zealand. As his design skill and creativity grew so did his client base, spreading around the world and picking up a then small up-and-coming custom car shop based out of Inglewood, California - West Coast Customs®.

As West Coast Customs® grew to international success, so did his involvement with the brand, with many life changing opportunities to work alongside major companies in the American automotive and entertainment industries. AJ spent many years abroad traveling around the world not only with West Coast Customs® but with numerous clients and projects, until finally residing in Sydney, Australia.

Engine4™ showcases AJ Newman's ever growing design, photography, web and creative direction. We now have a highly talented team of some of the best designers, programmers and creatives all around the world that can unite to create innovative design solutions. We've picked up numerous awards for our work as we pride ourselves in creating original concepts with a high level of detail.
